Governor John Lynch Endorses Stefany Shaheen, During Visit To Main Street Businesses

Four-term New Hampshire Governor John Lynch today endorsed Stefany Shaheen in New Hampshire’s First Congressional District, joining her at several small businesses in Manchester to highlight her ability and commitment to make a difference for New Hampshire families and businesses.

“Granite Staters are facing grave and urgent challenges – from destructive tariffs threatening our small businesses and economy, to cuts that will steal health care from thousands. Stefany Shaheen can meet these challenges, stand up for New Hampshire, and make a difference,” said Lynch. “Stefany built her business here, she raised her family here, she grew up here. New Hampshire is part of who she is. She has my full support because I know no one in this race understands New Hampshire like she does or has the experience and record she brings of making a difference.”

“As Governor, John Lynch focused on the issues that mattered most to New Hampshire families, protecting public safety, improving education, and strengthening the economy. That’s why I am so proud to have his support,” said Shaheen. “Governor Lynch also understands better than anyone what it takes to build a people-powered campaign one community at a time. We’ve got to fight for working families, small businesses, veterans, kids, by lowering prices, protecting health care, growing our economy, expanding opportunity. That’s why I am running. No one fights harder than a mom for her kids and that’s how I will fight for all New Hampshire’s families.”

In 2005, Governor Lynch appointed Stefany Shaheen to serve on, and she later became chair of, the New Hampshire Commission on the Status of Women. When the legislature defunded the commission, she was part of the team that helped transition that commission into a non-profit, the New Hampshire Women’s Initiative.
