80+ New Hampshire Veterans Announce Support for Stefany Shaheen

Manchester, N.H. – Highlighting her commitment to improving health care and support for veterans and their families, more than 80 New Hampshire Veterans are announcing their endorsement of Stefany Shaheen in New Hampshire’s first congressional district Democratic primary. These men and women answered a call to serve and deserve an equal commitment from the American people for their service. In Congress, Stefany will fight to get veterans quality health care close to home.

“The Trump Administration cut veterans’ health care – laying off thousands of employees at the Department of Veterans Affairs – while spending billions of dollars on bombs, a ballroom and tax breaks for billionaires. That’s outrageous,” said Stefany Shaheen. “Many of those fired were veterans themselves. Undoing the damage this Administration has done to health care and other critical services for veterans isn’t enough. Our country owes a debt to all those who serve, in Congress I will make sure we honor it.”

“I’m so proud to have earned the support of 82 veterans from across New Hampshire in this race. I will always stand up for them and the people of our state,” added Shaheen.

“Stefany is the tenacious fighter we need to represent us,” said PJ Whitney, retired Air Force National Guard Navigator, and first female navigator in the New Hampshire National Guard. “Her life of service to Granite Staters and this district proves exactly the type of Congresswoman she will be in Washington.”

“With a rare combination of civility, humility, courage, and integrity, Stefany will represent our district well,” said Don Guter, retired Two-Star Navy Admiral. “The leadership qualities she possesses we desperately need at this moment.”

“Stefany demonstrates the heart, soul and proven leadership necessary to protect her New Hampshire constituents and veterans as our next member of Congress,” said Jim Steiner, retired Army Green Beret.

“The picture is self-evident. I’m endorsing Stefany Shaheen because she has the best background and experience to represent New Hampshire’s interests in Washington,” said Stephen Woodcock, U.S. Army Veteran. “Over the years, I have met many of the district’s constituents from my affiliations with different organizations in the Mount Washington Valley, my professional career as an educator, and as a State Representative to the New Hampshire House of Representatives. I say this because I don’t generally endorse other candidates for elected office. Stefany is only my second endorsement; I take an endorsement very seriously.”

In addition to the New Hampshire veterans listed below, Stefany has received endorsements from U.S. Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona and Secretary John Kerry. On Monday, September 7th, the day before the democratic primary, Stefany will be joined by Senator Mark Kelly for a canvass launch in Manchester.
