As 2025 comes to a close, the Democratic front-runner in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District race is continuing to consolidate support.

Stefany Shaheen is showcasing hyperlocal endorsements, with five Dover mayors, whose leadership dates back to the 1970s, and the city’s mayor-elect backing her campaign.

Stefany Shaheen holds a solid polling lead in the field of 1st Congressional District Democrats, and she is now bolstering her position with the first major union endorsement in the 2026 race.

Teamsters Local 633, with nearly 5,000 members in New Hampshire, is backing Shaheen as their candidate for Congress in NH-01.

After taking a stand to oppose last week’s shutdown deal over Speaker Johnson’s unwillingness to ensure a vote in Congress to extend health care tax credits, Stefany Shaheen proposed action she’d take as a member of Congress to reduce the costs of health care for Granite Staters on WMUR TV.

Improving health care has been the cause of my life. It’s why I am running for congress. So I cannot support this deal when Speaker Johnson refuses to even allow a vote to extend health care tax credits. My statement:
