Endorsed by More Than 65 New Hampshire Health Care Leaders, Stefany Shaheen Files to Run for Congress in NH-01

Surrounded by supporters, Stefany Shaheen filed to run for Congress in New Hampshire’s first district, vowing to take on Donald Trump, RFK Jr., and the insurance companies that are preventing Americans from getting health care. This week, Shaheen was endorsed by more than 65 New Hampshire health care leaders. In the coming days, she will be making stops across the district as part of her ‘Road to Better Health Care’ tour, listening to Granite Staters concerns about health care, and sharing her plans to bring down costs.

“I am running to fight back against Donald Trump, RFK Jr., and the insurance companies and billionaires cutting our health care, endangering our kids, and threatening our communities. They’re picking the pockets of the American people to line their own, and it has to stop,” said Stefany Shaheen. “For nearly two decades, I’ve taken on the insurance companies to get my daughter the care she needs to stay alive. No one fights harder than a mom for her kids, and that’s how I will fight for every family in New Hampshire. Together, we’re going to deliver the change people need – change that makes life better and more affordable for Granite Staters. This is my home. It has always been my home, and I’ll never give up fighting for the people who call New Hampshire home.”

Stefany’s fight for affordable, accessible health care is her life’s work. Since her daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, Stefany has been a relentless advocate for better health care driven by the conviction that doctors should be determining care, not the insurance companies or politicians. She built a business connecting people with chronic illnesses to the real-time clinical support they need. When RFK Jr. came to New Hampshire, she went to challenge him face-to-face and ask about the Granite Staters who’ve been priced out of health care on his watch.

Over the past year, Stefany has traveled up and down the district, speaking to voters in living rooms and coffee shops, earning their support. More than 2,800 Granite Staters have contributed to Stefany’s campaign, nearly three times more than any other candidate from either party. All four Democratic mayors in the district as well as former Governor John Lynch are backing her and she has the support of the New Hampshire Teamsters and IBEW Local 490.
